Welcome to Hope Base Inc.

Hope Base, Inc. is a San Diego, CA based, non-profit corporation that is dedicated to creating self-sufficient housing and working communities for the homeless. Through our social work initiatives, we aim to empower and support those individuals experiencing homelessness to rebuild their lives and thrive. Our team has spent countless hours researching and investigating the many organizations and services available to homeless people in our community. With the multitude of resources and solutions available and with so many organizations and so much legislation working diligently get people off the streets and into homes, we expected our surveys to show a steady decline in the number of people experiencing homelessness. Unfortunately, that is not what we found. The number of people with nowhere to call home is growing at an unprecedented rate and something must be done to stop it. This is not "their"problem, it is "our"problem. Homelessness is a social problem that impacts every level of society. At Hope Base, Inc. we realize that the current methods being used to solve this issue is simply not working. It is going to take new ideas, unconventional thinking and a lot of work. We have just such a plan. Our plan addresses not only the question of where and how to house, but also solves the abundance of other issues that accompany getting a large number of people off the streets and into homes, some of whom have not lived in an actual house in years.
